What Is the Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative?

Over the last 12 years The Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative has purchased just over 700 annual memberships at some of the Ottawa area’s top golf clubs for kids who need a place to play. We’ve also provided grants to dozens of kids, golf programs and other kid’s charities in our community. Our idea has always been to provide kids with not only a terrific golf course to improve their skills on, but also to provide them with the respectful and traditional environment that a golf club can provide.
I owe most of who I am to the game of golf. I can’t think of a better way to give back than by growing the game of golf and giving kids with enthusiasm for the game the same opportunity to pursue their passion that I had.

Our core values continue to be to contribute to the growth of better, healthier people through the values and lessons of golf. We’re giving kids a safe, respectful and positive place to play a sport that emphasises integrity, fair play, and sportsmanship.

The Kevin Haime Junior Golf Initiative has been a great success and a special part of the golf community in Ottawa. Kevin and I, along with some very generous friends, volunteers and sponsors, have been able to help so many kids over the years.

There are many ways that you can help us change kid’s lives. The more funds we raise, the more kids we can help. 100% of funds raised go towards the dedicated costs of running our events and program. Our committee is 100% volunteer so all of your donations are spent as they should be.
